Custom-Made Order Terms
Custom-made orders work differently from stock. Please read these terms before requesting a quote or placing an order — we ask every customer to confirm by email that they've read and accepted them before we move forward.
- 1 · Your specification is the order. We confirm your specification in writing before anything is released. Your written approval of that specification is final, and your order is made to exactly what you approved. Please review it carefully — this is the moment to catch anything.
- 2 · Fitness for your application is yours to determine. We supply the specification you approve. Selecting the right fastener for your load, environment, installation method, and applicable code is your call, and we're glad to talk it through before you approve.
- 3 · Your order is firm once confirmed and paid. Custom-made orders are non-cancellable once confirmed and payment is received. Material is allocated and the order is released to your specification immediately.
- 4 · Custom-made product is non-returnable. It is made to your specification and holds no place in general stock. This includes product ordered in error or no longer needed.
- 5 · Payment is by ACH or wire transfer, in full, before production begins. This is the only accepted method for custom-made orders, and it applies to every account regardless of terms held on stock purchases. Payment on a custom-made order is final.
- 6 · Quantities may vary by up to 10%. Custom runs are subject to a variance of plus or minus 10% of the quantity ordered. Shipment within that range completes the order, and your invoice is adjusted to the quantity actually shipped. Where the adjustment results in a balance due, that balance is payable before your order ships. Where it results in an overpayment, the difference is [refunded / applied as a credit to your account].
- 7 · Lead times are our best estimate. We quote in good faith and keep you posted at every stage, but custom production depends on material, machine time, finishing, and freight. Equipment can go down and material can run late. Lead times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
- 8 · Please inspect on arrival. Any shortage, damage, or nonconformity should reach us in writing within 3 businesses days of delivery, with photos. After that, product is considered accepted. Nothing comes back without a written Return Authorization from our team.
- 9 · Documentation comes with your order. Material test reports and certifications are supplied as stated on your quotation. If you need additional certification or a specific format, let us know before the order is released.
- 10 · Custom-made orders ship within the United States. All shipments are FOB Miami, FL. Our international clients are served through our stocked inventory and Specialty-Sourced program.
